Some important hotfixes have gone out since launch too which impacts the economy and gold-makers. Personally I've all but avoided Auction House play in the opening days of the expansion so that I can focus on leveling. This is obviously a high priority for goblins and gold-makers as it is taking an inordinate amount of time to handle anything on the Auction House - posting, shopping and cancelling items is eye-wateringly slow, when time is money this hurts the bottom line. For the time being, thanks for keeping us up to date on what you're experiencing. If we do get more information, we'll certainly let you in on what we know. I sincerely appreciate your patience throughout this. Whatever is done will take time and testing to ensure that the changes don't make gameplay/realm stability worse. There have been changes to guilds and auction houses in the past, but this is on a whole other level. If this were a simple fix, believe me when I say the devs would already have it done. We totally understand how important guilds and the auction house are to the economy and enjoyment of the realm. Because of this, it makes it difficult to perform the level of changes we need to fix this without potentially causing realm instability. Guilds and the Auction House are tied into the very fabric of the realms you are on. I don't have all of the technical details, as I am not a developer, but I'd like to at least partially put this into perspective for you. We still don't have an ETA on a fix, but didn't assume we'd have it fixed by now either.

Responsiveness has dropped to the double digits in terms of seconds required to purchase an item, moving items to and from guild banks takes a very long time and this is even without any addons installed. The same can't be said for the Auction House infrastructure since the launch - with the sheer number of players active at the moment and unknown number of variables in infrastructure issues, the Auction House and guild bank systems are hanging on by a shoelace at the moment for most servers.

I say mostly smooth as there were a number of high population servers offline for a few hours post-launch, this certainly put a dampener on the launch experiencing for some players but for the vast majority it was plain sailing all the way though.
